About Us

Background

ZeroSixty emerged as a collective endeavor to transcend the limitations of existing 0-60 times aggregators, which were marred by outdated designs, mobile-unfriendly interfaces, and cumbersome navigation experiences.

Driven by a team of engineers determined to set a new standard, ZeroSixty was conceived to offer a genuinely next-generation experience.

With a focus on mobile accessibility, the platform enables users to swiftly locate their desired vehicles, harnessing the latest advancements in software technology for an unparalleled user experience.

Additionally, the platform is enriched with an expanding suite of companion articles that delve into the 0-60 times of the most sought-after cars, offering readers in-depth analyses and valuable information.

Yet, the journey does not end here. ZeroSixty is committed to continuous evolution, aiming to keep pace with technological advancements, update its 0-60 time data promptly, and broaden its collection of articles.

This ongoing development ensures that the platform remains at the forefront of automotive information.

Methodology

We determine 0-60 times by aggregating and analyzing reports from reputable sources to ensure the most accurate figures.

Typically, a car is tested at the start of a new generation, during a mid-cycle refresh, or when a new trim is introduced to the lineup.

Most years either carry over without changes or with minor, non-performance-affecting updates and are not retested. For these years, we use the 0-60 time from the last tested year for the same trim, as it remains identical.

This approach ensures accurate data is available for years that are not explicitly tested.

Percentiles

Percentile calculations are based on the average 0-60 time within a specified timeframe, with each car assigned a weight based on its popularity.

For example, cars like the Honda Civic, which are more commonly seen on the road, are given more weight in the calculation. This approach ensures that the percentile more accurately reflects how a car’s speed compares to all cars on the road, rather than just a variety of unique trims.

If a car is in the 90th percentile, it means it’s faster than 89 out of 100 cars you’re likely to encounter on the road. Since cars with higher sales volume are more frequently seen, they have a greater influence on the percentile.

For the all-time percentile, only cars from 1990 onwards are considered, as there isn’t sufficient data to create an accurate sample for earlier years.
